What is Lavee Solar?
Lavee Solar is a ready-to-use, waterless solar panel cleaner and protector with built-in SmartShield™ surface protection.
It removes existing soiling without requiring water before, during or after application. Typically, around 50ml is used per panel, with application methods designed to support efficient planned solar panel cleaning.
SmartShield™ helps slow ongoing re-soiling, supporting cleaner panels and more stable energy performance between planned cleaning activities.
Lavee Solar is biodegradable, independently laboratory tested and designed for use in warranty-sensitive PV environments.
Whether you install, operate, maintain or own solar assets, Lavee Solar provides a practical way to clean and protect suitable commercial rooftop and ground-mounted solar installations.

Why Lavee Solar exists
Soiling is unavoidable in real-world solar operation and is a leading cause of PV underperformance. Dust, pollution, biological deposits and other debris can reduce the usable energy generated by PV systems.
Cleaning can recover lost performance, but conventional methods may also introduce water requirements, equipment, site-access planning and repeated maintenance activity.
Lavee Solar addresses both parts of the challenge. It removes existing soiling without water and applies SmartShield™ surface protection, which helps slow the rate of re-soiling between planned cleaning activities.
The aim is simple: support cleaner panels, reduce dependence on water-based cleaning infrastructure and help asset owners and operators manage solar performance more predictably over time.
Why it matters: IEA PVPS estimates that soiling is responsible for an average 4–7% of global PV energy losses, while MIT reports that solar-panel cleaning uses approximately 10 billion US gallons, equivalent to around 38 billion litres, of water each year.
